This classic model will fit any decor. The Explorer features a walnut-finished wood base and a gold-toned semi-meridian. This globe has an extensive amount of cartographic detail. The 12-inch model has over 3,500 place names while the 14-inch model features an extraordinary 5,000 place names. The state-of-the-art illumination technology gives you two globes in one. When the light is off, you see a political display of the planet. With the light on, you get a physical relief display featuring mountain ranges, ocean depths and elevation gradiants. The relief view is intricately hand-painted with 17 layers of colors to create a vibrant display.
The Explorer is available in either a 12-inch or 14-inch diameter. The 12-inch stands 15 inches tall while the 14-inch is 17 inches tall.
